Diving Spots

U.S.A.T Liberty Shipwreck

The U.S.A.T Liberty Shipwreck is an unforgettable shore dive that can be done by divers of all levels. The wreck is close to the beach and is a 120 m long underwater wonder because of the structure itself, the many species of hard and soft corals growing on the hull and the number of fishes living in- and outside the wreck: barracuda, napoleon wrasse, giant grouper, white tip reef shark, bumphead parrotfish, lionfish, sweetlips, scorpion leaf, stone fish, the eel garden and many more (there are over 400 different species here). We normally make 2 dives here; one outside the wreck and one inside the wreck and there is occasionally a small current.

Batu Kelebit and Alamanda

Two dive sites that will be done with jukung boats out of the bay where we follow a rocky slope with many species of reef fishes. Bumphead parrotfish and octopus can be seen here. On rare occasions whale sharks can be spotted here.

Tulamben drop off

A shore dive that brings you to a huge group of jackfish. Along the wall there are moray eels, octopus, parrotfish and many different reef fishes. Next to that different kinds of sharks can be seen here and smaller species like stonefish, lionfish, nudibranches and many more. A very nice and easy dive with soft current.

Coral Garden

A shore dive with a depth between 2 and 20 m, a favorite site for photographers with beautiful hard and soft corals. Morays, nudibranches, small fishes and sometimes white tip and black tip reef sharks.

Seraya

A boat dive that starts at 5 m with a maximum depth of 30 m; on the sandy bottom there is a huge variety of critters species such as seahorse, moray eel, ghost pipe fish, sea moth, harlequin shrimps etc. Favorite spot for photographers. Seraya was discovered not too long ago and it attracts many divers. It’s dedicated to macro. You could encounter none to mild current.

Diving Spots

Amed Wall

Boat dive to the Wall of Amed. Before reaching the Wall of Amed, we will pass through an area with blue spotted stingrays and an occasional white- or black tip reef shark. Along the Wall, you will find beautiful and colorful corals (hard and soft) and a breeding area with thousands of small fishes. The wall drop at a maximal depth of 40m with an occasional current.

Jemeluk Bay/Pyramids

Boat dives could be in pyramids dive site and pyramids wall/Jemeluk wall. It would take 10mn to reach the entry point. Pyramids spot is a surprising natural reef where some pyramids structures are standing at 20m depth to extend the reef. While jemeluk/pyramids wall is much deep. current could be mild. Amazing wall and slope of corals. The max. depth here is 26 m and we might face a little current in the beginning.

Bunutan

By jukung boat or shore entry, we will start the dive on a huge garden eel. We will continue the dive drifting on a sandy slope in between 2 coral gardens, with sponges and bommies.

Japanese Wreck

A shore dive where you can admire the unspoiled hard and soft corals, the many colors and the small wreck itself which is a breeding ground for fishes. The Japanese shipwreck lies in shallow water (5 m). Behind the wreck the “real” dive starts and brings you along a slope with barrel sponges, hard corals, hiding moray eels and many other species.

Gili Selang

A small island at the most eastern tip of Bali not far from Amed. Due to a possible strong current, this boat dive is only adressed to experienced divers. In addition to the anemone garden, there is a chance to see turtles, sharks (white tip, black tip and hammerheads) and occasionally the Mola-Mola.

Diving in Kubu Bali

Boga Wreck and Monkey Reef

The first one is a 45m long hollandese shipwreck sunk for scuba diving activities. The bow is reached at 20m depth and the propeller lies on 36m depth. Entering the wreck as the ship is still intact is one of the interest for advanced divers. The dive site is surrounded by corals. The current could be mild. We normally see lionfish, moray eel, stonefish and from time to time the bumpheaded parrotfish in groups of 6 to 7 or even up to 13. The white tip reef shark likes to doze in the sandy area and there are many other species that can be seen here.

The second dive is completely different; corals growing on rocks with sandy spots in between. The second dive spot is called Monkey reef. Typical macro dive where you can encounter frog fish, leaf scorpion fish, turtles. The maximal depth is 22m. The current could be from none to mild.
